June 10 was our last day of school...I started this blog post then...finishing it 2 weeks later....maybe I will finish this blog post which is starting to feel like 3 posts shoved into one! I added lines to divide the topics. Summer 2022 is off to a fast and furious start!
Hoping for more walks, reading new books in my daughter's hammock, finishing a yard project, cleaning up my house, celebrating summer birthdays, visiting the library and animal shelter, etc...

Wow my teacher work day was a busy day...I should have taken more pictures but I was DONE!!! Some of my fun was planting the garden with Mrs. Pinzok from WAEC PE and Ms. Anderton from Seneca High School who is the AG teacher. It was two fun hours of talking, planting, hoping not to sunburn, and learning LOTS. Then I ran in the building...scarfed down cake and ice cream for lunch...don't judge. Threw together my check out sheet...then RAN to the high school.
Then I helped pack up the rest of the discarded books for Buyer's Dream. This project is now 90% finished. Mrs. Fonzo did the inventory and final clean up last week.
It feels good to have transformed the high school media center over the past year at least book wise and SAVE IT!
Then my husband and kids helped to clean up the STEAM room. Thank goodness and it is the cleanest end of the year in a long time. It looks ready for fall 2022!

Fast forward 2 days until Sunday June 12...Bella-Ann performed at the Warner Theater with a choir that she is part of. This delayed our vacation, but I honored her request and interest in singing and theater!
5 PM - off to Cape Cod - a 11 hour trip with stops! We drove until 4 AM. We were slept a few hours and were ready to go!
The craziness continued with 5 fun filled days in Cape Cod, Boston, Plymouth, Salem, and more!
Family vacations in our family are busy and jammed pack. We went up from 6/13-6/18.
It was awesome!!!! Here are a few pictures of the hundreds taken!

Then it was time for cub scout camp. Sunday we set up and finished getting everything ready.
I taught STEM and Cooking on Monday and Tuesday. We did underwater fireworks, shoe towers, air powered rockets, and solar ovens. The lessons went well for working in a pavilion.

Tuesday (6/21) was a hot day and I did not drink enough water, but still had to drive 5 hours to Harrisburg! That was tough - but for a good reason!
Are you tired yet? I was and am ;)

CS FOR ALL - TURNING POINT SUMMIT
The reason for the drive was that I was nominated as CS for ALL PA Exemplar Educator award. I got to attend a 2 day training on CS for ALL. This training was amazing.
Cool fact that my 14 year old is now feverishly working on computer coding and wants to try a AP course.
So to be a brag a bit - I was a finalist as CS Exemplary Educator of the Year.
