The April Blur

That is what I am calling the past month!  The April blur :)  Yes we are a week into May but that is the speed of life!

Personal and professional it has been a MONTH of busyness which in COVID is unusual...very.

So this Saturday, I skipped an optional event to catch up on my blog, lesson plans, sleep (I slept in until 7:45), and just listen to my kids in bed.  It is almost silent in my house and it is glorious.

Students are enjoying a mix of inside and outside activities.

I tried to create an art tree - NOT loving it yet - but we will see.

My Inspiration (Drawing tree )

2nd grade is working on sled kites and bird kites.  They take longer than one would think to create and tie strings on them.  Tying fishing line nots is TOUGH for adults and students plus cutting all of the strings!  Next year, 1st grade is going to make bird kites and 2nd grade will just make sled kites...Two types is too many!

1st grade is wrapping up Code.org and working on learning about the parts of the plant.  Some also helped to water our new trees.  Some prepared our Seedlings for Schools containers.  It has been hit and miss with my schedule and the weather.

Kindergarten was attempting to do a shadows but the weather kept interrupting it.  We instead did some online engineering with Tami's Tower from Smithsonian.

Looking for more assistance in watering our school garden!
